MEET THE TWO ANDREWS OF PEKING TAVERN
“As many of our regular customers know by now we are not brothers! Yes we do kinda look alike at times, which we attribute to eating the same food after many many years. So if you want to look like us, keep eating of our food!
You may also or may not know that we are Architects and this venture Peking Tavern comes from our experiences in Beijing circa 1994. We noticed that Chinese dining was much more experiential than we were accustomed to in the US—and frankly better. So we were determined to introduce it to America.
Since we opened in 2013 we have refused to compromise on quality of our food and drinks and insisted on making everything by hand and from scratch using the best ingredients. We’ve also become the place to have baijiu—a traditional Chinese spirit that’s essential to Chinese dining culture.
We are grateful that what started as an experiment many years ago has become a larger community of patrons, staff and friendships and we look forward to meeting new friends as we continue our endeavor in Little Tokyo.” - Andrew Chiu & Andrew Wong
